I am speechless, no spares for a vital system like the Urine reprocess? With
the imminent retirement of Shuttle they had better get their fingers out and
make some me thinks.
Its only with six people that they will really get a lot done after all.

Thinking about how this centrifuge works, seems to me that what may have
happened is that in the motor casing some debris has accumulated on the
ground for some reason, Gravity will of course  make this be at the bottom
out of the way, but in  micro gravity, it would be very easy ...

Have there been any significant discoveries about the reasons for the
failure of the hardened layer as yet?
