"What if scenario" - personal tragedy at home?30 Dec 2006 04:57 GMT4
Hypothetical situation: An ISS astronaut is doing his/her 6 month stint
aboard the space station. If that astronaut has some type of personal
tragedy at home (medical emergency/sickness/death of a loved one, etc.)
is there anything in the rule book that would allow them to abort ...

EVA view from elbow cam19 Dec 2006 19:25 GMT3
That's a great shot (supposedly over the Florida panhandle), of

and white gear (arm and spar) contrast nicely with the black of space.

What is the plan for the P6 array after STS-116? Will the furled section be
unfurled again or repositioned? Thanks,
David
All go for launch10 Dec 2006 01:52 GMT1
Looking good so far. No issues being looked at.
Count resumed at T-9 with no indication of a hold at t-5.

compression and decompression algorythms + transmission times).
Moon Base09 Dec 2006 11:07 GMT1
Just a thought or two on the projected Moon Base.
Pictures that I have seen so far are square or round objects on the surface,
and wondered if these are realistic views of the base.
Only the first thing that springs to mind is the vulnerabilty to meteor
Anyone know if this book is non-fiction?08 Dec 2006 23:11 GMT1
My husband's birthday is right after Christmas and he collects signed books.
Is this about Buzz Aldrin's trip back from the moon?

Relocate ISS to VL2, just for Brad Guth03 Dec 2006 22:53 GMT13
Keeping ISS alive and thereby worth doing something constructive is
exactly what should happen.
However, instead of pushing it into the somewhat lethal and otherwise
interactively pesky moon L2 zone that's a little extra IR/FIR toasty
