I still note that news accounts are contradictory regarding whether the Descent Module came to rest on its side or on its bottom. Did it land one way, and then get turned the other by the rescue forces?

Pretty dramatic, as the Soyuz rolled 15-20 degrees AFTER probe capture, they're still working on nulling the rates. Slightly scary, for a moment.

the USA NBC televion programme "West Wing" has an episode this week where the White House is confrontyed with the problem of an air leak on the ISS and astronauts having no way to return to earth du to the civilian shuttle being grounded.
