Before anybody gives me that look...this question is totally in the context of a "what if" kind of hypothetical scenario. Suppose an asteroid somehow, through some super, far future engineering achievement has been captured into orbit around the Earth.

Soyuz TMA-5 docked succesfully this morning. Just before making the "flyaround" manoeuver, Kurs emitted warnings, so the crew moved to manual mode and just continued the docking manoeuver manually without trying to fiddle with Kurs.

The US segment is down to its last spare lightbulb. Right now, the Unity node has a light that is about to fail. Crew decided to leave the light on continuously since it seems to stay on once warm and has a lot of trouble starting up. It is hoped that this will extend its life ...

Soyuz succesfully launched on thursday 03:06:26 GMT. During post launch press conference, it was said that TMA-4's "expiry date" is sometime in mid november. Did anyone else watch the launch ?
