| STS-127 scrubbed yet again | 27 Jul 2009 00:50 GMT | 44 |
I can just hear the RSA: "In Russia, vee launch during blizzard; you Amerikanz can't even launch in little bad wedder...." And I think they're right. For an area so prone to storms and other bad weather, I just hope Orion and Ares 1 are built to a more weather-tolerant

| helicopters before launch | 26 Jul 2009 04:38 GMT | 3 |
I had the good fortune of seeing a recent launch for the first time. The crowd applauded as a pair of military helicopters took off shortly before launch--seen as a good omen that they'd get that bird off the ground that day finally!

| Nasa tv again | 18 Jul 2009 11:30 GMT | 2 |
Anyone noticed that the media channel real stream keeps falling off the radar, so to speak. All I see is a reel media error and its disconnected. Sometimes its just a few seconds, other times as much as an hour. Windows media seems not to have this problem, so its either routing ...

| Shuttle sabotage?? | 15 Jul 2009 15:36 GMT | 8 |
http://www.wesh.com/cnn-news/19785390/detail.html seems nasa is worried workers might sabotage things to keep program running longer. this besides risks of parts shortages and skilled worker attrition.

| Heading to the Cape this weekend | 15 Jul 2009 14:12 GMT | 10 |
So, since there's so few Shuttle launches left, thinking about taking to Florida this weekend for the STS-127 launch. It sounds like we're past the major leak issue, and I haven't heard of any others, so I'm hoping it goes.
