| Shuttle succesfully lands at KSC | 21 Apr 2009 02:33 GMT | 2 |
Congratulations to all for what appears to be a flawless flight (except for the poor bat that was cremated :-) Question: While stopped on the runway, if they fired the OMS engines, would the

| Webcast delay? | 21 Apr 2009 02:14 GMT | 8 |
I put the webcast almost 11 minutes after the actual landing time. Time on my computer was 6:24am (3:24pm KSC time).

| East Coast lights in the sky last night.... | 21 Apr 2009 00:56 GMT | 32 |
Last night, when I was watching "The Celebrity Apprentice" between 9 PM and 11 PM, I saw what looked like a gas flare in the sky here in Southern New Jersey, a quick flash of orange, streaking to look like it fell behind the horizon, behind some houses. It was quiet and I was

| Can you have sex on a space-shuttle??? | 18 Apr 2009 03:15 GMT | 6 |
I wonder if two of the astronauts ever tried to have sex on a space-shuttle, because it must be great to be the first humans who had sex in space. Did anyone of them have heterosexual or gay sex

| Food and bean counters? | 12 Apr 2009 16:00 GMT | 28 |
I understand that some of the ways the crews are using their food have upset the two major countries bean counters. I heard a report that they have been told to only eat their own food. I trust this will be met by the ridicule it deserves by crews. I'd imagine experimentation ...

| EMU Batteries and corrosion | 10 Apr 2009 19:07 GMT | 2 |
I note with interest that the emus that were just brought back on the Shuttle, had some corrosion of the battery terminals. This I suspect is due to the way they were charged which I also gather was faster than previously. I'd have thought that this kind of thing, which I

| vehicles | 09 Apr 2009 07:38 GMT | 7 |
There still seems something wrong in my view to returning to the capsule way of getting back to earth. Its undignified, inconvenient and I'd have though rather unnecessary with what has been learned on the Shuttle. I've seen cost reasons, well maybe, and all sorts of other ideas ...

| Shuttle, ISS programs cancelled | 08 Apr 2009 13:45 GMT | 16 |
they need the money for the financial rescue plan. they need the money to pay for what the Wall Street "sharks" have done.

| We should design the shuttle of the next generation! | 06 Apr 2009 15:36 GMT | 3 |
The old shuttles are rather dated, they are more than 20 years old and their software may still run on 8 Bit machines with 5.25" floppy drives. They are totally outdated.

| The old "I corrected Henry Spencer" t-shirt thing | 03 Apr 2009 13:40 GMT | 3 |
I am trying to find information on the old I corrected Henry Spencer thing. Who was it, who was tracking it? Was it OM? Searching Google Groups is not working well for me at the moment... I

| Hoot Gibson and STS-27 | 01 Apr 2009 05:15 GMT | 10 |
If you get a chance, take a look at this month's Air & Space magazine. There's an article on Hoot Gibson. What's very interesting is he reveals a detail of STS-27 I wasn't aware of. 85 seconds into the flight part of the nosecap from the right-hand SRB broke
