Experts: Reliance on Russia makes NASA weak18 Aug 2008 13:47 GMT7
Thu August 14, 2008
LONDON, England (CNN) -- Experts are growing increasingly concerned that
the United States will have to rely entirely upon Russia to take
astronauts to and from the international space station for at least five
Space debris and satellites16 Aug 2008 00:12 GMT2
I got to wondering after hearing on a TV show how many things are in orbit, can
astronauts aboard the shuttle, ISS or on an EVA  see objects that are out there
such as nearby satellites?  I know they're small in scale to space but with so
many, I just wondered. And I realize that ...

design.
These dissenting scientists and their backers insist they have created
Looks like NASA is a go for AMS mission05 Aug 2008 12:04 GMT55
It's looking more and more likely that at least one additional shuttle
flight will be added to the manifest to fly the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer
to the ISS.
Both the House and Senate have authorized money for this.  Note this is not
new lunar roving vehicles, why?05 Aug 2008 06:00 GMT22
Why does NASA persist in spending millions of dollars developing new,
innovative vehicles for traversing the moon? There are literally
dozens of desert vehicles on earth, quad runners, 4x4's, dune buggied
designs etc that already exist that would do what many of these
Place General Motors in charge of rocketry?01 Aug 2008 17:53 GMT21
The solution seems to me is to let GM have a go at the next generation of
manned space vehicles. They are in desperate need for big contracts as
their auto sales dwindle. They are eminently qualified as they have
thousands of engineers on staff, backed up by software analysts, ...
