The scientists drive to work, and then fly out to an undisclosed location to work. But I bet that doesn't happen. It's a cover. Anyways, this seems trustworthy stuff.

I can't get any sound on Real Player at all; either the NASA TV page or the actual player.

Looks like the relative velocity might not have been high enough to cause problems. I've looked at the vid (I recorded the post-launch replay) and there was one piece that hit, but it appeared to stay intact (no debris cloud post-strike).

3.5 minutes GET? I'm sure I saw two pieces of debris from ahead of the SRB camera come loose and hit the HRSI.
