Senate Field Hearing On Life After Shuttle Draws Hundreds Of     Demonstrators24 Jun 2008 17:03 GMT1
CAPE CANAVERAL, FL - As Florida's Space Coast, home to Kennedy Space
Center, grapples with the potentially devastating impact of thousands
of lost jobs brought about by the retirement of the space shuttle in
2010, the state's two U.S. Senators held a special field hearing at
Obama to extend Shuttle program?23 Jun 2008 23:50 GMT5
Does Obama oppose or even want to possibly extend the Space Shuttle
program thru 2014 in line with the belief that having no manned access
to space before the CEV is ready would be bad policy for a visionary
Kennedyesque leader?
Pad 39 A bricks for sale!!!!23 Jun 2008 20:39 GMT4
The recent unfortunate launch debacle on Pad 39A has fortunately for
you the lucky souvenir hunter turned into a Golden Opportunity.
Of the limited edition 3000 bricks we have acquired after launch
cleanup only a small number were needed for analysis.  All the rest
circular features on ISS?23 Jun 2008 19:37 GMT4
What are the numerous white circular features in various locations on the
ISS?  These features are large white circles with smaller black circles in
the center.

Astronaut Mass Exodus coming23 Jun 2008 17:30 GMT14
With the winding down of shuttle ops, will we soon see a mass exodus
of longer-term shuttle astronauts who don't want to wait for 2014/2015
to fly again at the earliest.

And the good news <ducks behind big rock> is that more money is going
on the CEV to bridge the gap from the shuttle retirement.
Reuters says many Earths exist, some just found!!!18 Jun 2008 09:28 GMT14
Dick Strong controls Reuters, and he did this for me most likely. Many
Earths exist in our galaxy, just think, a million if not a trillion of
them, with human beings exact to our Earth. Yes different creatures
exist on different planets, but also many planets are exact to ours.
Orion G-force question17 Jun 2008 00:48 GMT5
What are the launch and re-entry G-forces for Orion?  Surely, a capsule will
be worse than the shuttle.  If they have to use a recumbant seat for ISS
crews returning on the shuttle, will that be sufficient for Orion?  What
about longer-term crews; how will they fair returning on ...

They're playing the downlinked video in about a minute on NasaTV.
They think currently it's a thermal clip and not critical.

flame trench14 Jun 2008 01:19 GMT9
So have any pictures of the damage made it on line as yet? Not that these
are much good tome, but I did wonder about the orientation of the stack as
respect to the damage in, and the  fence etc caused by debris. I was
wondering if anything could have hit the vertical stabiliser ...
leaf blower on mars probes12 Jun 2008 22:21 GMT1
How come we dont have a blower attachement on the mars probes. As
evidenced by the recent lander, the engines blew away the surface dirt
unveiling presumably-ice. They should have a blower fan on the end of
the arm to manually blow away dirt. Is it too much of a power draw?
