I noticed on NASA TV when they show the
world map with the ground tack for the ISS
and shuttle there are five  areas outlined
in yellow spread accross norther Eurasia,

How would this work if it happens during the final Space Shuttle flight in
2010? Will an extra ET be built just for this scenario and another shuttle
prepped to be launched only as a rescue mission? If it never happens, all
that unused hardware including the external tank should ...

Starting at roughly 05:40 EDT on Wednesday, they downlinked 20 minutes

Why is it that astronauts have to be so fit. they are only enduring
high g stress for minutes on a mission. is a few minutes of 3g stress
going to kill someone if they are carrying extra weight? couldnt they
be trained in a centrifuge to deal with it? i ca undertand the pilots
