Just wondering: Is Atlantis going to be prepared to roll back to the VAB to toggle the ECO sensors or replace the ET? Can the ECO sensor problem be solved at the pad?

Can anyone tell me how many more missions are scheduled? I thought I'd read that there were only a few external tanks left but Nasa's website suggest there are at least half a dozen more launches to come? TIA

News reports state that the "Crew Office" made the proposal that if all four ECO's were not working properly they would not fly. Is this a case of the CDR putting his foot down, so to speak, and saying I, or we, don't want to, or will not fly, if the system is not working 100%?

Is this basket and armoured truck escape supposed to be used for? Looks a bit risky, and surely the only sort of emergency it could maybe have a place in would be poisonous gas or similar release in the cabin. If the stack got punctured in a tank, or a fire occurred, I'd have ...

Are those recent sensor failures only recent events ? Or have they been happening throughout the life of the shuttle program but were either unreported or undetected ? What was changed to result in these now common problems ?
