version of it anywhere. Anyone know what it is (I ...

Administrator amongst landing welcome party08 Nov 2007 21:50 GMT2
I've haven't really watched previous landings as closely as I have the last two, but is it unusual for the Nasa Administrator
(Griffin) to be amongst the welcome party? He seems to be making an effort to personally greet the astronauts when they return. Just
wondering whether ...

They just performed an orbit adjust burn to lower the orbit of the
shuttle to open up a second landing attempt at ksc tomorrow.
The commentator on nasa tv characterized it as a retrograde burn to
slow the shuttle.
Overland Entry for STS-12006 Nov 2007 01:26 GMT6
Bill Harwood at CBS/Spaceflightnow.com is reporting landing of STS-120
has been shifted from pre-dawn to afternoon.
This will therefore be the first overland (re)entry since the Columbia
accident.
I hear today they have fallen foul of a great Windows 'feature'.06 Nov 2007 00:54 GMT10
The feature in question is the one where it says its copied a file, and you
can see it on the device, but if you whip it out and shove it into another
machine, it aint there!
Caching is great, but not when you are using removable media.
