| Hubble question | 28 Nov 2007 15:34 GMT | 2 |
Sorry for the OT question, but this has been nagging me for some time. Hubble is in orbit around the earth, and as such, travels at a great speed as well as constantly changing its direction of travel (nature of a circular trajectory).

| Oh goody they took Luke's lightsabre on this mission. | 28 Nov 2007 03:24 GMT | 52 |
Question: What is the cost to put a pound in orbit now? Because I want to send my one of my flashlights to spend some time in space. Was Lucas paying for this?

| posting question | 16 Nov 2007 21:17 GMT | 2 |

| Why can't the OMS engine be used during glide? | 13 Nov 2007 20:10 GMT | 7 |
If for some reason the shuttle would lack sufficient energy to make the Cape Kennedy runway, could the Shuttle's on-board rocket engines be fired up momentarily to give it the necessary boost to "stretch the glide?" It would seem to me they must carry sufficient fuel reserves in ...

I was watching the STS-120 landing video, and I heard a call saying "You are on energy approaching the hack"... What exactly does this mean? Heading alignment circle? What does "on energy" mean though.

| South Korean astronaut selection process | 12 Nov 2007 17:37 GMT | 1 |
South Korea is rushing to join the space race. But their astronaut selection process has been slightly different from that of NASA: They used a televised "reality TV" show to select 1 astronaut out of thousands who had submitted applications. The "elimitations" were
