Follow That LOX Tank!31 Oct 2007 23:03 GMT7
Jon Berndt referred to as fact:
"... the explosive destruction of the LO2 tank and release of debris
and propellants which destroyed the intertank, liberated the SRBs, and
provided a nose outward impetus to both SRBs."
SRB Nozzle Scam?30 Oct 2007 18:54 GMT1
On his Challenger website, Jon Berndt writes as follows:
"Both the right and left hand rock and tilt actuator positions were
known up until just prior to the disintegration of the 51-L stack
(Footnote 20)."
Question about TV view30 Oct 2007 01:15 GMT22
In the coverage of the launch I can see some spectators standing on a grass verge with a big countdown clock. Which vantage point is
that? Is it the VIP viewing area about 3 miles away or the causeway viewing area 6 miles away?
I'd like to know because I'm planning to buy causeway ...
Is Space Flight Boring?29 Oct 2007 17:27 GMT6
I've tried to watch NASA television showing real-time life aboard the ISS,
but frankly, after about half an hour, I'm pressured by other family
members to change the channel.  They find it "boring."
When I fly commercial airliner, after a few glances from 30,000 feet, I'm

Just imagine standing so close to the STS at launch time!
Gravity Sensor27 Oct 2007 16:54 GMT1
We've all heard the bone development is space isn't par for the
course.  This indicates that calcium in a satuate should bond more to
itself in a solution if kept in chemical equalibrium.  Therefore, if
you place a sensor inside of a metal sphere, and use enough amplifier

So, when the new node is in between the main station and the pma, and the
shuttle is again docked, will the station arm still be able to reach into
the payload bay, ie can its mobile base be taken along to do that?
Itts hard imagining the station changes when you cannot see. I say ...
Revamp of telecom/IT for the shuttle replacements ?26 Oct 2007 03:08 GMT2
With the US manned space programme essentially going to sleep on jan 1
2010 until the shuttle replacement begins (if it ever begins), would
NASA take this downtime oppportunity to revamp the telecom
infrastructure as well as IT systems used on board manned vehicles ?
Viewing of Station and Shuttle.25 Oct 2007 04:15 GMT9

SSME's24 Oct 2007 23:23 GMT8
I know each SSME is refurbished post flight. Are they each test fired
post refurbishment? If not how are they certified for flight?
I know they have a great reliability record, but some certification
process must exist?
President Ron Paul might let the Space Shuttle flying beyond 2010. :-)24 Oct 2007 12:27 GMT25
Hopefully, President Ron Paul would privatize the Space Shuttle Program.
Private Enterprise, first thing I'd do after purchasing Enterprise on E-Bay
would be to move the LOX, LH2 lines inside the Orbiter.
Is J-PASS a permanent victim ?24 Oct 2007 11:10 GMT1
A few years ago, some events set in motion a bunch of decisions to
prevent normal people from accessing normal data such as launch times
and TLAs for satellites or even viewing the white room on the KSC web site.
One victim was NASA's own JPASS applications which allowed ...
Discovery: Did you see that?24 Oct 2007 01:24 GMT5
I have seen a piece of stuff passing near the right wing in the ET camera
view...
Did you see that?
Any Disparity Here?23 Oct 2007 23:37 GMT2
(as to "explosion" and "explosive destruction," as well as "blown
outward" -- also, in testimony, as to "explosive force"and "load up,"
as well as "rupture.")
