Part of the planning for this last Hubble servicing mission is to have another shuttle on the pad when Discovery launches, in case Discovery is damaged. Has a shuttle ever launched while another is waiting on the other launch pad?

If the stack had six (6) SRBs would it have the capacity to lift three times as much or would it travel three times farther before burn out or would it have three times the velocity of two (2) SRBs?

Does anyone know of somewhere I can get downloadable files of older missions. Maybe the Flight Day Highlights or the NASA Briefings? I know about the files on the NASA HSF Website, the wakeup calls and Crew Activity reports. Anyone have anything else
