Lost in Space29 Nov 2006 01:56 GMT14
I recently learne that NASA is planning to send a probe to Europa in 2015.
But for some reason, I started thinking, what if it was not an unmmaned
probe that we were sending, but a manned mission to Europa.
Let's just say.

NASA culture worse than industry?26 Nov 2006 22:08 GMT15
Two commissions have written up that NASA culture is a major cause of our
two shuttle accidents.  They site that engineers are afraid to speak up as
part of the problem.
My question is this: Is the culture worse at NASA than other places, or does
Golf in space26 Nov 2006 22:07 GMT9

Russian and an American playing a golf shot in space.
I could not help but think of it as  completely mad, but somehow endearingly
human. From the comments I got the distinct impression that the  absurdity ...
STS116- Launch Path26 Nov 2006 20:07 GMT7
I am lurker for this group, but you guys always come through with the

Does the space shuttle have any weapons???22 Nov 2006 23:15 GMT14
Just in case UFOs attack, dangerous aliens from the Planet X.
Can the space shuttle defend itself or will the aliens destroy the
shuttle and eat all the astronauts???
Does Hubble have to die?22 Nov 2006 04:48 GMT65
*When* Hubble's day comes... why not just bring her back home
and put her in the Smithsonian rather than let her burn up?
If a SS mission got her up there, surely, it could bring her back home? no?

Griffin also hints at Orion visit to Hubble17 Nov 2006 02:24 GMT106
I found it interesting that he also disclosed plans for an Orion-class
mission to the HST to attach a de-orbit package prior to a random
decay post-2020. So this flight, STS-125, will NOT be the last
astronaut visit to Hubble!

What if there is a launch incident and the LON shuttle has to go up for
them?
This one is a little crazy.

I read a German news that NASA has still problems with the ET foam.
I first dismissed it but read it again today and found this:
