| FAQ? Why not use mesh embedded in the foam on the ET? | 05 Jul 2006 05:18 GMT | 1 |
There must be a good reason why using mesh of some sort (plastic? teflon? fish net? metal probably too heavy) won't work to keep the foam from falling off the ET during launch. Yes?

I recorded the launch. About T plus 2:47 I saw up to 3 different chunks, of what looked to be foam, separate from the ET moving up and over the wing. If anybody recorded the launch, look back and check to see if you agree.
