"Fireworks" Mr. Griffin??? "We establish days, weeks, months in advance the criteria that we have to meet in order to be able to launch. If we don't meet them, we stand down," meaning the shuttle doesn't

| Minor rant - 'excitment about launch' | 06 Jul 2006 03:40 GMT | 46 |
NASA TV is going on and on about the 'excitement' on the part of the crew and KSC personnel about the launch... They don't seem to realize that this is a product of how sick and distorted the whole process is. D.

| A little vague? | 05 Jul 2006 22:10 GMT | 8 |
Well, on the observation by a journalist that its fairly close to areas that have been a concern, and what will it hit etc, it seems to me that they are not yet clear on what they called transport mechanism but what they really mean is where could it hit the orbiter.

| Fabric? | 05 Jul 2006 20:53 GMT | 4 |
So, what is this mysterious piece of T shaped fabric about 6 foot in length drifting away from the orbiter a short time after tank separation, then? Thin pieces of ice, or something more vital? Did they ever work hout how that blanket came undone on the last trip?

| Multicasting on NASA TV | 05 Jul 2006 07:34 GMT | 1 |
This occured to me while watching the NASA TV satellite coverage today. There are four (4) programming channels for NASA TV now that they have switched to digital multicasting on AMC 6. Why do all four channels show the same programming during missions? Why not show downlink ...
