| Completely reusable single module orbital shuttle | 23 Sep 2005 01:57 GMT | 7 |
Ignoring cost factors can this been done, assuming a 5 Tonne payload? I am guessing the only real restriction is the weight of the fuel. How much more fuel would this require than the current shuttle? I am guessing it would be over 1,000 times more.

| CEV comment/question | 22 Sep 2005 13:10 GMT | 52 |
I see in all the hullabaloo today (e.g, all the repeated press releases), that the lunar portion of the CEV has a couple of odd/interesting design choices. The first one that comes to mind is that CEV is apparently going to use

| What is the purpose of NASA? | 21 Sep 2005 01:59 GMT | 31 |
What is the purpose of NASA's existence? I say its number one purpose is putting people in space. If the organization does not do this, it should not exist. It is a waist of NASA's ability for it to be limited to only putting unmanned spacecraft and satellites into space. ...

| Reentry Buffeting | 20 Sep 2005 00:27 GMT | 5 |
Just how rough is a shuttle reentry? I've read a lot of reports in the press over the years about "buffeting" during reentry, but I've never heard any crews mention it. I've also never noticed any buffeting on onboard videos shot during reentry. It always looks smooth as silk ...

| Spaceships should surf on gravitational waves | 17 Sep 2005 20:53 GMT | 4 |
We must create giant space-surfboards to surf on gravitational waves. This will allow spaceships to travel through time and matter very fast and is much better than rockets based on fossil fuels. Because space is just a giant black ocean and you can sail it with solar
