...Due to unstable weather conditions that could produce unfavorable visibility thanks to low clouds, Discovery's landing has been delayed ~24 hours. Next opportunity comes at orbit 217, with a landing at KSC at 4:08am CDT.

If the shuttle had to land in the west: How far after the deorbit burn can they change from Edwards to White Sands? Is there enough energy if they deorbit burn for Edwards, can the shuttle carry enough energy to make White Sands?
