With regards to the gap filler problem on this flight and others... Why doesnt NASA just install tiles that fit correctly against each other ? Is it a cost issue? If so, how much is it costing them to trouble shoot it now with their technical experts working OT? Is it worth the ...

Christa Corrigan McAuliffe grew up in my town. She got her teaching degree from the local college. Christa was well known and well liked. Her parents still live here. So the loss of Challenger hit this town hard, on a personal level.

I've been reading that manual I had the link to and one thing is a bit vague to me. They make great store of the fact that the Shuttle is only supported by the tank, and the tank is supported by the SRBs, and the SRBs are bolted down.
