| Where to get space shuttle footage? | 04 Aug 2005 09:33 GMT | 3 |
I'm trying to find NASA footage, especially space shuttle footage. And before somebody's gonna post links to video files, I should probably say that I'm trying to find "production quality" footage. Decent enough to be shown on professional quality presentation, that is.

They keep mentioning this and the only OVSS I can find reference to is Oxidizer Vapor Scrubbing System but I don't think that is what they are talking about. Can someone shed light?

| Borrowed time? | 04 Aug 2005 03:22 GMT | 48 |
First post here and I'm curious... If this foam thing was such an issue why is it SO important now? They had to have known things over the dozens and dozens of flights.... I have to think crap was falling off all along...

If NASA just built a cargo shuttle, no wings, no heat sheild, just a cargo fairing, and SSME's, OMS and RMS systems, how much payload could it carry to the ISS? Thanks, David

| can hubble be saved? | 03 Aug 2005 23:26 GMT | 6 |
Given all that NASA has learned on this mission about the tiles and foam seperation - can a non-docking-w/ISS mission be OK'd before Hubble de-orbits? This is really the saddest thing I've ever seen foolish politicians do..

http://www.usatoday.com/tech/science/space/2005-07-31-shuttle-material_x.htm one of the hallmarks of "normal" accidents and disasters is that efforts to prevent the previous accident frequently cause the next one. Time to retire the shuttle.
