We aerent allowed to buy hardware from russia because of those plants they
build for bad purposes.
Russia does it to make money.
So what we do is tell Russia clean up your act and stop immediately building

Ok we have a shuttle stuck at station and between the shuttle crew of 7 and 2
or 3 station crew we have 9 or 10 people stuck on a station built for 3:(
Why not deorbit 3 in soyuz immediately to take the load off consumables and

If NASA immediately took all shuttle related staff and funding away, and
gave it to the project of building a simple 6-8 man reusable capsule
vehicle and manrated expendable launcher, how long would it take to get up
and running? Could it be done without new funding?

NASA Engineer_, and am a bit over 1/2 of the way through it.  It's doing well
as I'm putting lots of dog ears in it and lots of good sections to discuss.
Now, I remember STS-1 and some issues with tiles, ...
