Orbital Mechanics21 Jul 2004 21:27 GMT7
Is there someone here who can do a short lesson on orbital mechanics please.
I understand faster launch speed = higher orbit = slower orbital speed and

Shuttle trip to work on Hubble20 Jul 2004 01:01 GMT1
If and when the shuttle goes up to work on the Hubble
telescope, I suppose that the first spacewalk would be
used to do a quick inspection of the wings and other
vital surfaces that may have gotten damaged by foam off
Station reboost by shuttle20 Jul 2004 00:48 GMT5
Which engines did the shuttle use to reboost the station?  Was it just
the aft or was it both the aft and forward RCS?  Was OMS ever used for
this purpose?
Thanks!

Calculation of Shuttle 1/100,000 probability of failure15 Jul 2004 21:09 GMT8
I have read that pre-Challenger, NASA actually calculated a 1/100,000
(or something like that) probability of catastrophic failure for the
shuttle.  (I think it was mentioned in the book 'A Major Malfunction')
Ever since, I have wondered how NASA did that, and if the rationale

I thought I read somewhere that they were going to use cameras on the
