Water Well Drilling Accidents or near misses30 Jul 2004 03:30 GMT1
I am in litigation support. I have a project that I hope someone or
everyone on this list might be able to help me since you have
apparently been involved with water well drilling equipment or
involved in the industry. I am interested in any incident at anytime

Kerry calls for shutting station, and grounding shuttles permanetely.28 Jul 2004 23:34 GMT15
To be replaced by a study of future manned options. The present nasa funding is
to all be directed into robot operations and planetary operations. The eventual
manned launcher will be a modest rework of a apollo or gemini sized craft, to
service a small man tended station that will ...
Shuttle safety up for good reasons!28 Jul 2004 20:56 GMT8
I think the shuttle will be safer than ever upon RTF. Any safety issues will
result in immediately grounding the fleet. Fixes will be thoroughly examined
for TWO very good reasons. This all depends on finalizing ISS plans:) It will
have 6 astronauts, be finished by so and so date ...

Bush Policies Detrimental To Space Program28 Jul 2004 05:45 GMT6
NASA has decided to euthanize a highly successful Tropical Rainfall
Measuring Mission (TRMM) satellite, just because they supposedly want to
save $28 million to $36 million.
This is a good example of how Republicans change the subject when

Confused by Mixture ratios25 Jul 2004 21:55 GMT1
According to the astronautix site, the SSME's use an oxidiser to fuel ratio
of 6. I read that to mean that by mass, it uses 6 times as much oxidiser as
fuel. Is this correct? I'm using the density values 71 kg/m^3 for liquid
hydrogen and 189 kg/m^3 for liquid oxygen. This would mean ...
Nose first reentry on winged vehicles25 Jul 2004 02:14 GMT2
Could anyone point me in the direction of any research that has been done on
nose first reentry vehicles? I've been thinking about the idea of a lifting
body vehicle with a protruding blunt nose which would generate a large
shockwave, and protect the rest of the vehicle from the ...

to the moon!
