On the net i set my seti@home preferences to "on copmuters with more than 1

Boinc 5.4.9 breaks program...27 Jul 2006 23:18 GMT1
I've used a PHP web front-end (BoincPHP4-GUI) to manage and control Boincs

I like BoincPHP4-GUI because it allows all the Boincs to be controlled by

Life on a planet with a flatal* atmosphere19 Jul 2006 03:20 GMT3
Please forgive me if the off-topicness of my post annoys anyone
here. I am a writer doing a rough draft for a science fiction story
about humans landing on a planet that is earth-like except for having a
flatal (fart-like) atmosphere. I am posting here because I assume
Some Questions About SETI16 Jul 2006 10:48 GMT3
I've been lurking on this newsgroup for a few weeks now, silently
fascinated by much of the conversation and painstakingly studying the
amazing world of SETI in my off-line time.
I'm not a scientist (although I do have a good deal of advanced college

I had a local broadband problem to the rural exchange from about 10.00
pm (UTC+1) last night, which is now resolved.
When logging in to the SETI web site I see that I cannot, and checking

I just started with the Seti at home software, and hope it really makes a
difference in the broad scheme of things. I am running it on the computer I
just build, Pentium 4 3.0Ghz 800 FSB processor with 1 Gb memory and 320 Gb
hard drive space.

I have a SETI unit which absolutely refuses to allow itself to be

First Contact has been made.06 Jul 2006 00:55 GMT1
One of the most ponderous and monumental events in the human race has
transpired.  I am delighted that First Contact has been made with the
malawk's, and an advanced space faring race.  The malawk's are
doing their first major human contact in the last two thousand years.

... is there just more crunching going on?
I normally pay very little mind to Boinc, other than just allowing it to

Linux) are now crunching "setiathome_enhanced" WU's for the last few weeks.
