I need to reinstall a pc & I can't wait for SETI to come back online to upload processed workunits. If I backup the BOINC folder before I trash it & restore it on the newly installed pc, will that work?

The Server Status page has shown SETI-NOINC as having most of the servers running all today (UK day time). However, the WU queue has not diminished and no outstanding credit has been granted. The SETI-BOINC team have now been "in the office" this Friday morning

my Seti/Boinc has had three work units wating to be uploaded for three days now, and no new units to work on. Is there a problem at the Sti site? thanks

From what I read just now, somewhere, Astropulse is a project to find microsecond duration pulses in some portion of the microwave spectrum, presumably near the waterhole, using the computing power of the seti@ home network and the database already on tape, in Berkeley. Beta ...

Only yesterday i noticed that Seti has a new version (SETI BOINC). I'm using seti command line 3.08 and the last version of seti driver. In my stats i had 6184 WU completed, but when i transmit on my seti driver it says that i had 7786 WU completed.

As to the task of our detecting such really dumb and dumber ETs; By way of detecting their ongoing pollution of their world's atmosphere and, by all of the pointless collateral damage and ongoing bloodshed seems rather basic.

I have been interested in Astronomy since like 12, had an Optical telescope since about then too. Then got interested in Radio Astronomy, but never got around to it. 20+ years later, trying to break back into both fields. I had a book by I believe "David Heiserman" (sp?) ??? ...
