All things being equal, when is the length of SETI work units going to be
doubled (to 648k)?
As time passes there are more and more 'fast' (1 GHz +) computers.

Seti still works?16 Jun 2005 19:39 GMT3
Can I install a command line version of the old Seti  as a service ... on a
new machine ... if I happen to have the .exe kicking around?
I missed the whole transition, or whatever it was, to BOINC.

Trying to compile SETI/BOINC on Tru64 UNIX15 Jun 2005 23:55 GMT3
It looks like SETI Classic is coming to an end.  I've been running it
on a Tru64 UNIX system, V5.1B PK4.  I checked the SETI/BOINC site and
downloaded the source to try to compile.  The compile of BOINC fails
with the messages:
SETI/GUTH Venus, still no kidding15 Jun 2005 20:10 GMT113
It's too bad that all of club SETI is actually certified as legally as
blind as are all the ETs they have supposedly been attempting to
discover for the past several decades, as otherwise any number of other
ETs still having sight could have been living right next to us. Perhaps

Newbie to boinc ~ Q about credits13 Jun 2005 01:05 GMT3
I've been using SETI classic for about 5 years and have just started to use
BOINC/SETI on a couple of PCs, before seti classic goes the way of all
things.
I'm confused about how the BOINC credit system works. Is there a web page
I think we should build WMDs to nuke the aliens !!!12 Jun 2005 21:46 GMT4
It's very important to track possible alien ships in outer space,
because 99,9% of alien civilizations are evil and out to destroy the
Earth.
We MUST create WMDs bigger than H-bombs to be able to fight off aliens
