Going from classic to BOINC31 Mar 2005 20:22 GMT6
Okay, I'm stupid.  I'm also pressed for time, and I'm having a bit of
trouble finding the info I need on the s@h website.  So can somebody direct
me to an equivalent of 'the idiot's guide to moving to BOINC'?  I can't
find out if I have a BOINC account, I don't know if there's a ...
Keeping Classic SETI@Home Screensaver alive as "nostalgiaware"31 Mar 2005 15:28 GMT3
Computer technology marches on, and soon the productive life of classic
SETI@Home will end. By the time that happens, I probably will have switched
over to BOINC.
But does the classic version have to vanish completely?
Dying stars could provide a second chance for life ...31 Mar 2005 10:52 GMT1

Interesting idea. As a main sequence star grows older it expands in size
to the red giant phase. The habitable zone also expands, so planets on
the outskirts of the star may have a second chance for ...

I assume I may be holding up others who have faster times to get

Done with seti classic.27 Mar 2005 13:09 GMT2
After almost 6 years of crunching seti at home classic and getting done over
14000 work units I am done with the classic version.
Have BOINC installed and running on 2 of my computers. I am sorry to see the
classic version go away but out with the old and in with the new. I have
What happens to my Classic credits?26 Mar 2005 21:37 GMT1
It's probably been answered at least a hundred times and is probably
documented somewhere, but I haven't found it.
Will my Classic credits get converted to Cobblestones eventually?
Will my Cobblestones credits be back-converted to Classic credits so that my
Dual Processes Running?26 Mar 2005 21:31 GMT3
I am very new to BOINC and Einstein, and even newer to this helpful forum.
I suspect when I first signed up for participation in the Einstein project
that I inadvertently took on two jobs or studies at the same time.  When I
watch the elapsed time under the work tab, two ...
