All my SETi work units have been from Arecibo - wasn't there a plan at some
stage to use Parkes?

Managed to u/l and d/l results and WUs OK. Brought caches back to 2 days
with a little patience. Have taken advantage of the better WU service to
increase caches to 5 days.

I'vew been running Seti at home for a while now and have over 10,000
work units. I honestly haven't been paying much attention to it all as
I don't have a lot of time; I  figured if something big happens I'll
find out.

it shove them on you like a Microsoft automatic upgrade without asking or

1st off I'm wondering if I am only one getting this error message. The
faq on this error from the seti site says that I would get this message
if my ISP uses a transparent proxy. I contacted them and was told that
they did not use any kind of proxy. Also is there any way to d/l more

Is anyone else having trouble downloading work units? Its been over 6 hrs
and I haven't been able to download a brand new one.

Anyone close enough to the Berkeley SS Lab to indicate when the Data
Server will be back on line? Even if it then reads ... "Data server
running, but dropping connections".

After repeated attempts, I managed to upload the results for 2 WU's
yesterday. Can I assume the credits will not be lost once all the server
problems have been fixed? I have read somewhere about using older
