SetiGate problem30 Sep 2003 16:59 GMT1
Running SetiGate v1.94 on Dell laptop w/ W2K.  Running Seti@Home
command-line v3.08.
SetiGate downloads work units without issue and the client processes work
units.  SetiGate displays progress normally, however as each work unit
Performance Question - AMD Opteron 240 64 Bit30 Sep 2003 16:36 GMT5
It seems that I'm about to get one of those newfangled Opteron
processors from AMD.
You see, I've been in the market for a new machine. Normally I would
have just gone with a G5 Mac, but it was a little too far out of my
Anyone having trouble accessing User & Team Results?30 Sep 2003 02:26 GMT8
I appear to be having trouble accessing the User & Team Results page on
SETI@Home. It has been like this since Friday night. This is not true
for the main URL and associated general stats. Anyone else with this
issue?

Which is faster: PII-400MHz or Celeron 500MHz?29 Sep 2003 17:45 GMT9
After some technical problems with an old PII-400MHz computer of mine
(mainboard was broken) I obtained a new mainboard. This mainboard also
included a Celeron 500MHz processor.
I now have the option of using either the PII-400 or the Celeren-500.

Old hardware help required.29 Sep 2003 15:39 GMT26
God I'm sick of helping 'friends' with their PCs. I'm posting this here as I
had SETI installed on it <G> and I'm having trouble resolving it so thought
I would draw on the wealth of knowledge here.
I need help with this latest one.
BOINC Questions ...29 Sep 2003 14:23 GMT3
(1) Will the BOINC seti@home WU results files be archivable?
I like looking at and checking my own results ...
(2) Will the SETI Monitor program, and other like programs, become obsolete?
(3) Will SETI@Home continue at Arecibo?
G5 Compile29 Sep 2003 14:22 GMT2
Anybody know where I can find source code for Seti@home?  I would like
to recompile it to take advantage of the G5.
Multi-processor setup w/ MacOS X? 29 Sep 2003 11:21 GMT2
I just downloaded the command-line version of Seti@Home. It works fine.
Since I have a dual-processor machine I would like to run 2 clients
parallel. All I could find was a hint to run them from 2 different
directories. What does that mean? How can I set up my system to do so?
is it possible29 Sep 2003 05:47 GMT7
I run 3 differnt machines all running seti cli, seti driver and seti spy. I
was wandering if i can take all the workunits they have done and combine
then on 1 machine to have a large skymap in seti spy or am i jsut stuck
looking at 3 seperate maps ?

s@h WU results add-on (ATTN Jason!)28 Sep 2003 00:54 GMT2
Just seen a posting for what I think is a new s@h add-on:
http://www.bjoernhenke.de/smv/index_e.htm
Looks rather interesting and includes a skymap view that marks the
positions of known extrasolar planets.
ARGH! Which client?27 Sep 2003 15:06 GMT1
Which of the clients on the Linux page does one use to run on a Mandrake
Linux 9.1 install? There's nothing in there about Mandrake or Red Hat!
Thanks in advance.
How to join accounts27 Sep 2003 03:36 GMT2
After being away from seti@home for a lengthy time I decided to start
processing work units again.  I just learned not to register in the
middle of the night :>)
The account (email address) appears to be case sensitive and my
