Earth- and Mars-crossing asteroids and comets?25 Oct 2005 16:40 GMT3
I don't know if anybody has asked this earlier, but I'd appreciate it
if somebody could point me to the right direction.
I am trying to find the number of currently known small solar system
bodies (asteroids, comets, etc), whose orbits cross those of Earth and

It's highly unlikely that elemental silicon would exist on the ocean
floor. The first equation should probably be rewritten to use silicA

An Antimatter Matrix?19 Oct 2005 14:50 GMT9
Dark matter has been postulated to explain certain observations; but
what if, instead, we were to guess at the existance of large
concentrations of antimatter, left over from the big bang period?
Can antimatter be said to condense in some manner?
Von Neumann machines. The key to space and much else.19 Oct 2005 01:51 GMT11
What is a Von Neumann machine? It is a machine that will make itself.
It is an awesome prospect. It means that if we use the materials in
space- the Moon or asteroids. NASA has looked at the Moon although in
many ways asteroids are a better bet as they have little gravitational
ISS; Why do we never hear about any of the experiments they do up there?13 Oct 2005 16:01 GMT3
It is suppose to be a "World Class Laboratory", so how come we never hear or
see the results of any of the many experiments they are doing up there. Yes,
I know they are short on help but surely something must be getting done.
Prometheus, Jupiter Icy Moons Orbiter (JIMO)13 Oct 2005 03:10 GMT1
Hello to all,
In the web there is  a lot of material about JIMO,
but I haven't found any detailed plan of the entire spacecraft,
I like the design, seems really similar to venerable Discovery
