Dr. Robert Wilson Shows the folly of it all!25 Jan 2004 09:38 GMT4
First of all, I think Dr. Robert Wilson does an accurate job of
describing the amount of time it will take to make Mars Inhabitable -
Although he still does not provide and facts that such can be done!
But he says that the earth will have no room for any more people or

Note the article on Bush & NASA at

While it is a humor site, this sadly smacks of the truth.

KSC/CCAFS Dividing Line and KSC Future ?25 Jan 2004 01:42 GMT24
OK, just a quick question about where CCAFS ends and KSC starts [or vice-
versa if you prefer :>] I tried searching google, came up with plenty of
references talking about the history, and the naming between the two,
but none as to where one ends and the other begins.
Did you see the movie "The ring"?24 Jan 2004 21:53 GMT2
I saw it and liked it.  Its tooken from a Japanese one called RingU that was
done 4 years earlier.  I'm going to go find the english version and watch it
too.  Funny Ring 2 is out for buying here and the imdb says it doesn't start
getting filmed till March 2004.  Ohhhh... Spooky!
Prognosis Weak for Tonight's Mars Landers24 Jan 2004 20:30 GMT93
I predict that tonight's Mars landing will be another disaster.  Scientists
have publicly stated that sharp rocks can cut the airbags and ruin the
bounce-and-roll landing technique, which is really more of a crash than a
landing.  And I am personally skeptical about the ability ...

coverage of tomorrow's landing, you can watch a live stream right

We're testing some new streaming video technology, and we would
Which contractors to profit from new plan?24 Jan 2004 03:47 GMT6
Any speculation on which space contractors will get the additional NASA
funds?
Aside from space transportation expenses, there will be new unmanned probes
in the next few years. Who builds them, and who may get new contracts?

CEV - Asteroid Retrival23 Jan 2004 18:17 GMT39
Somewhere in near Earth space, there must be some asteroids That NASA could
retrieve with a modified version of the Lunar Crew Exploration vehicle for the
amount of propellent required to land and take off from the Moon. Perhaps their

An experiment I did23 Jan 2004 15:00 GMT24
Hi all...
I got bored this weekend and decided to throw together a little
experiment... I set up a loop in my living room made of ordinary clear hose
(diameter of loop about 1.5m, hose thickness about 1mm with a diameter of

Possible space race against the Chinese23 Jan 2004 09:54 GMT4
http://www.nytimes.com/2004/01/22/international/asia/22SPAC.html?hp
I told you guys so, but no one would believe me. The lunar and Martian
initiative by the Administration is for a large part influenced by the
Chinese drive to put a man on the moon and maybe even Mars. Bush extended ...

The right manned space program22 Jan 2004 22:59 GMT5
We should send men to mars.  We need to spread out in order to increase
the survival chances of the human race long term.
But like all Bush projects his mars project is nonsense.
Our current goal should be to keep a small crew in orbit for about 1.5 years
