the web site has been locking out viewers for awhile now, but sometime in
the last week or so it's gone public.
Sorry if this is old news, but it is new to me.

Why not service the Hubble telescope with OSP?21 Aug 2003 06:13 GMT4
OSP is supposed to be flying in 2008/9. So, why couldn't a dedicated
OSP launch to Hubble to perform Servicing Mission 5? It would seem to
be  much cheaper to launch an OSP than a Shuttle.
Another OT: massive virus attack21 Aug 2003 05:40 GMT1
Anybody else getting swamped with e-mailed virii lately? I'm getting
dozens of messages a day containing probably virii, in the 100kb size
range; three cheers for mailwasher, which stops 'em from getting to me.
But it's impressive just how many of 'em are being hurled towards me...

Why large organizations can't do cheap space flight18 Aug 2003 14:27 GMT3
I just got this off the TechTales website
( http://www.techtales.com )
I think it is a prefect examine why most people here look at the small
organizations to get CATS done, and not the big boys who have been building
space porn17 Aug 2003 18:09 GMT11
I suggest that NASA use the ISS as a location for "Personal
Rendevous".  I bet there are a lot of couples who would pay for th
eexperience of weightless sex.  Even better, allow a company to make
weightless porn movies there and NASA gets a "piece".  It seems that

weak and decadent; rotten at the core and ripe for attack.  And this

A human Mars mission?16 Aug 2003 20:34 GMT65
Has there been any proper work done for a human mission to Mars yet?
i.e. a rough design on the type of spacecraft that will be used, or
some small amount of metal being bent, or at the very least a rough
selection of who will be in the crew, or at least ANYTHING specfic

Delta 4 + SeaLaunch = Delta 5?15 Aug 2003 01:17 GMT10
While doing research on competing rockets I had this crazy idea:
If you take the first stage of SeaLaunch and then use the first stage of a
Delta 4 as a second stage you have a rocket that can launch (based on my
quick calculations) over 60,000 lbs to LEO.
interesting data point for rocket courier service...14 Aug 2003 21:12 GMT1
Now there was some recent discussion about fast courier service with
rockets, and i completely accidentally stumbled upon this on the net:

PACE OF TeCHnOLOGY??? Where the hell did it go?13 Aug 2003 15:18 GMT10
Someone tell me what the freakin deal is. 4 years ago, the cutting
edge of technology was at an acceptable grueling pace. Now it has
slowed down to a pitiful, stomach-wrenching crawl and it makes me
sick. Then, for example, we invented the Pentium chip and the DVD
Commercial spaceflight & then what?13 Aug 2003 13:37 GMT23
Suppose a space tourism market does come to pass: Rich folk ride the
descendants of an X-prize winner to enjoy the view and weightlessness.
The flights would be suborbital or low earth orbit, no?
Would this make Mars, the moon, or even high earth orbit more accessible?
Why does Ed Lu write about ion engines but not about Nerva?09 Aug 2003 13:31 GMT5
http://www.spaceref.com/news/viewsr.html?pid=9926 talks all about
electric ion engines but doesn't mention nerva type engines.  Why?
