The Germans did make a acoustic homing torpedo in WW II, and developed a
acoustic proximity fuze for their SAMs... but, AFAIK there never has
been a SAM that homes on its targets ...

necessary, so operations would cost too much.

Apollo 19 LM used in From the Earth to the Moon?04 Apr 2008 04:01 GMT2
I found an old Starlog magazine with an article about the HBO miniseries From the Earth to
the Moon, and it mentions that the LM used in the mini was the one meant for Apollo 19.
Has anyone else heard this (or a similar) story?  Or did the producers just build a LM
interior set and ...
