So I just got through O'Neill's "The High Frontier".  There seem to be
some philosophical inconsistencies -- O'Neill claims to be promoting
individual freedoms and small-scale economies by building monolithic
power satellites and kilometer-scale orbiting cities, for instance --

The Star Ship Enterprise was purposely designed as a flying saucer, to
make people reason out that "why would a flying saucer be pushed by
two jet engines, it would be more practical to have just a flying

This would be a  fascinating thing to know  more  about

Hi Ray,
I have a Dr's appointment for my knee on 12/5/07.  It will be pretty
much all day as that Dr is in OKC.
Could I also schedule the week of 12/17 for vacation. That'll use it up
