Falcon Sir Lauch-A-Lot?29 Mar 2007 07:39 GMT70
Well, if nothing else, it's showing the on-time launch reliability
demonstrated by the Shuttle in a privately funded booster.
I still don't think that pre-launch test firing of a engine with an
ablative combustion chamber lining is a good idea.

The 100/10/1 Rule.28 Mar 2007 03:25 GMT198
I've been simulating single stage to orbit (SSTO) launch to low earth
orbit (LEO) in orbiter space flight simulator for a little while now.
Consider your basic space shuttle main engine (SSME) powered single
stage to orbit (SSTO) rocket. Hydrogen is the most powerful chemical

Falcon 1: Third Time Was ALMOST the Charm25 Mar 2007 18:22 GMT12
Watching the webcast right before telemetry was lost, it looked like the
vehicle was going into a spiral - the guidance was chasing the trajectory and
the oscillations were getting larger and larger.
Too bad - first stage, staging and fairing sep looked clean.  The webcast was
Visting Germany--maybe Peenemünde25 Mar 2007 10:33 GMT26
Looks like I may be visiting Germany (Munich) on business in late June
or July, and I'm interested in seeing if people here think it's
worthwhile to take a side trip to Peenemünde while there.  I know
there's a museum there, but is it worth the time?

Space flight simulator21 Mar 2007 08:34 GMT4
I've asked before, but the intervening decade may have thrown up more
examples...I'm looking for a space flight simulator game. Specifically I
want to be able to repeat a role playing game I GMed, with a Voskhod
stealing an Agena, then using it to attack a Gemini.
