It was 10 years ago today that Mars Pathfinder was launched. It doesn't seem
that long ago to me.
Even more scary- 41 years ago on this day, in 1965, Frank Borman and Jim
Lovell lifted off on their Gemini VII mission.

I was just watching the gemini DVD again.  It said that an ejection
from the capsule probably wouldn't have been survivable because of the
speed.  why didn't Gemini use the escape tower like Mercury and
Apollo?
