Aurora 7 carried a TV camera, and the Mercury DVD said that it was
used, but didn't get good results.  They said that they couldn't find
the magnetic tape or the 35mm film of the TV broadcast.   The DVD does
show a still from the TV, which I assume was in flight, but I'm not

his backup.  When Slayton was grounded, Carpenter got the slot instead
of Schirra.  Why?
