Sorry, dropping out27 Apr 2006 02:39 GMT32
My new job-with its twelve hour shifts-gives me but little time to read
the postings to sci.space.history (or eat and sleep for that matter) on
day-to-day basis, and due to that unfortunate circumstance I'm going to
have to leave the newsgroup from here forward.

RSRM static test firing April 2826 Apr 2006 15:29 GMT10
At the ATK facility in Promontory, Utah. Big free public viewing area
about 8000 feet from the stand with good visibility of the motor, the
exhaust and the plume. Very impressive 2 minutes. Tests are usually
scheduled for about 1PM, weather permitting.

After Apollo 13...25 Apr 2006 01:36 GMT7
was the LEM saved for just in case something went wrong?  Apollo 12
sent it to crash into the moon to check the seismic experiment, not
sure what 11 did with Eagle.  Seeing how it saved Apollo 13, might not
hurt to keep it till re-entry.
