Does anybody know how the panels that covered the LEM worked? In particular, how they were held together and sealed, what signalled them to begin their separation, what provided the force to separate them, and whether they were hinged or just blown off? IIRC, on the Apollo 8

I've seen artist drawings of the Apollo 13 CSM-LM firing the DPS engine with the LM landing gear extended. Was it ever extended and if so, why? To clear the pads of the engine burn?

Does anyone know where I might find information online about the operation of the circuit breakers in the Apollo CM and the power consumption of the electrical systems? I've found info on a few specific systems like the AGC, but nothing more general than that.
