Here are some new PDF files that were recently posted on the NASA NTRS

Voyager sterilisation?28 Apr 2005 18:46 GMT6
The work I'm doing at the moment gives me copious free time for my
lunches, but sadly no net connection; it's an opportunity to work down
through the paperback reading pile. (I've gone through about half the
Heinlein juveniles in the past month, it seems...)
Missle Mail28 Apr 2005 03:45 GMT15
OK, this has got to be one of the dumbest ideas ever:

I actually wish the article is a bit more in depth.  Apparently, the
missle was successfully launched towards Mayport NAS, a pretty small
Starry Night Enthusiast - Question.27 Apr 2005 20:03 GMT1
Did anybody here ever use Stary Night Enthusiast V 4.5?
I see that it is marked down from £50 to £15 which seems a good deal.

Philip Morrison26 Apr 2005 21:13 GMT2
Seems like his passing should be noted here. Like Carl Sagan, he did a lot
to present science to the masses. If we ever discover extra terrestrial signals,
it will probably be in part because of his initiatives. And the guy remarried in
his late '80s, which either means he was nuts ...

Smells of Natures26 Apr 2005 12:02 GMT1
I read some comments from the Expedition 10 crew that mirrored similar
comments from other long duration astronauts/cosmonauts. Both  Chiao and
Sharipov said that they were looking forward to the presence of nature again
after the sterile ISS environment, The smell of grass and ...

A Random Paper on  Software26 Apr 2005 04:12 GMT1
Putting the application aside, this is a good paper on software.  And for
those who believe that designing digital logic is designing software (many do
believe that since design entry now has a superficial resemblance to software
with Ada-like or C-like syntaxes)
Venus life, life on Venus, GUTHVENUS Interplanetary Tarmac and more26 Apr 2005 00:38 GMT1
Venus is alive with at least something having been more robust than
mere microbes and diatoms.
This topic is primarily about other life existing upon Venus, and
that's with all due respect to hot and nasty the environment is, of at
