Well, THAT was impressive!18 Feb 2005 16:48 GMT3
ATK-Thiokol had a static test firing of a Shuttle RSRM yesterday. As it
was the first one they've had since I started working here, it was the
first one I attended. I took a number of photos, but nothing is quite
as impressive as the sight and sound of the thing live and in person.

How many SSME's are there?17 Feb 2005 01:00 GMT7
I'm wondering how many SSME's there currently are, how many were built
total and how many have been retired.
Thanks.
A clearly stated goal16 Feb 2005 23:47 GMT43
Project Apollo drew on foreign policy needs and a blank cheque budget to
take step after groundbreaking step to put a man on the moon.  What drove
the thousands of individuals, who made it happen, to put in the 110%
effort?

Yesterday, February 12, was the official opening of my electronic art

scenes. With the help of Jerome Bascom-Pipp I have now opened a site
where prints can be ordered of the various artworks I have made over

Moon Tree13 Feb 2005 18:48 GMT6
Finally had a chance to see one of the Apollo 14 moon trees. This one is in
Perry, Florida. It was moved from a prominent place next to a museum to a
well-hidden spot in the woods next to the ranger's mobile home.
Officially, it's a loblolly pine. Looks like a sex tree to me.

When Schirra has to report BECO  does the B stand for booster ?  Similarly
at SECO does S stand for Single ?
