ATK-Thiokol had a static test firing of a Shuttle RSRM yesterday. As it was the first one they've had since I started working here, it was the first one I attended. I took a number of photos, but nothing is quite as impressive as the sight and sound of the thing live and in person.

Finally had a chance to see one of the Apollo 14 moon trees. This one is in Perry, Florida. It was moved from a prominent place next to a museum to a well-hidden spot in the woods next to the ranger's mobile home. Officially, it's a loblolly pine. Looks like a sex tree to me.

Just been having a read of the MA-8 Flight Plan, and have a few things I'd like to get straight. When Schirra has to report BECO does the B stand for booster ? Similarly at SECO does S stand for Single ?
