What if  (on light from Galaxies)08 Jul 2008 13:41 GMT17
I'm thinking "spiral galaxies" (disks) like Andomeda. Andromeda is like
looking at a fried egg edge on. What if we saw all of  its view to us
flat face on?  It would be bigger and brighter.   As I type this I'm
looking at a picture of the spiral galaxy M74 face on and it shows me
What if (on planets magnetic field)08 Jul 2008 12:53 GMT6
What if planets magnetic fields are not created by dynamoes at their
core?  The Sun's not Jupiter a big maybe. Mars has the spin and iron but
the fudgy dynamo theory won't fit  Curie proved our core dynamo theory
is an idea that want work.  Bert  PS our magnetic field never flips

We've already talked about size... and we've seen that the
planet Selene's size relative to the Earth as compared with
the satellites of our Solar System relative to their planets
is very large.  This 4th reason also concerns Selene's size,
The Hubble Palette and the Amateur Astronomer07 Jul 2008 17:40 GMT2
Combining images from narrowband filters is often done using the
Hubble tri-colour palette, in which SII, Ha, and OIII are assigned to
R, G, and B, respectively. I took this image in 2006 with 20 minutes
exposure per filter from a remote access observatory in New Mexico.

Earth2 ?07 Jul 2008 02:41 GMT10
If there were another planet, same mass as Earth and in the same orbit but
at the precise opposite orbital position, we would presumably never see it
because it would always be eclipsed by the sun.
Is there any way we can be sure that there isn't such a planet?
What if  (on Gravity)06 Jul 2008 20:18 GMT17
What if gravity is an illusion?    This illusion makes us miss its true
character. We are living with a false appearance of it..   That is why
its waves can't be found, for it fits with "illusionism"    When we look
for the source for gravity or even hypothesis a source we are all
