Ive seen several documentaries (and photographs) that show a picture of
the milky way galaxy with an arrow to the part of the spiral where our
solar system is in.
My question is, if Voyager 1&2 have barely ventured outside of Pluto,

I've bought myself a Pentax DLSR and want to turn to astrophotography.
Has anyone out there used this camera for astrophotography ?
I know that Canon make a 'programmable timer' that allows multiple and long
'B' exposures.

How come RGB CCDs are more common than WCMY CCDs?  Looking over their
descriptions on the web, I would have thought WCMY CCDs would have made
RGB obsolete, not only for astronomy, but for consumer digital cameras
too.  Resolution ought to be the same for both.  WCMY gathers more
