I don't suppose some kind soul on here knows what the well depths of
the chips used in these two cameras is?  The chips are both Sony:
ICX404AK and ICX424AQ.

I am thinking of getting a set of these to replace by current 9x63's that I
use for casual astronomy and bird watching. When I say casual, I mean

Are Mars polar icecaps receding?  I mean, not just the usual seasonal
melting, but disappearing? Some one told me that yesterday but I hadn't
heard it before.  If it's true, it makes you wonder why Mars is going
through a global warming at the same time we are.
