I don't suppose some kind soul on here knows what the well depths of

More on the Higgs-Goldstone origin of gravity and inertia23 Aug 2005 14:19 GMT1
"Still haven't found Higgs after 20 years, so I don't think it exists.
The LHC is coming on line in short time, so I think this will be the
definitive end of the line for a Higgs boson search.  If it isn't found
in the LHC, then quantum field theorists will be forced to confront

Best Canon Image Stabilised Binoculars for Astro22 Aug 2005 22:39 GMT2
I am thinking of getting a set of these to replace by current 9x63's that I
use for casual astronomy and bird watching. When I say casual, I mean
planets, 'bright' deep sky etc. I do use them with a tripod if I am not
travelling. I friend of my as a pair of 12x36's Canon IS that are ...
Io22 Aug 2005 21:21 GMT11
I'm laughing because two letters has to go down in Google as the
shortest subject title.         I know very little about Jupiter's
closest Moon     Read it has very active volcanes  and is close to
Jupiter. Being so close would account for internal  gravity tidal
Mars icecaps22 Aug 2005 19:44 GMT31
Are Mars polar icecaps receding?  I mean, not just the usual seasonal
melting, but disappearing? Some one told me that yesterday but I hadn't
heard it before.  If it's true, it makes you wonder why Mars is going
through a global warming at the same time we are.

The Physicist's Paradox22 Aug 2005 15:15 GMT37
The Physicist's Paradox:
Why should nature have any concern for the Laws of Physics ?
... The paradox can be stated otherwise
Of what use is physics if you are dead and cannot think?

I'm new to this group.  Can somebody let me in on the joke?22 Aug 2005 12:05 GMT362
I've been lurking in this group for a few weeks, and I've been resisting the
urge to ask this, but I can't take it anymore.  What's the deal with this
Bert guy?  He seems WAAAAY out there.  I can't believe some of the things he
says (examples upon request).  Which one of the ...
United Kingdom: Terrorist Hub Of Degenerate Mother Insultors22 Aug 2005 03:58 GMT24
According to years of research I've conducted on the subject, my
findings indicate that the United Kingdom (England), is the central hub
of terroristic and virulently degenerate mother insulting scumbags, who
go around insulting other people's dead parents, and it is from there
