right ascension in BSC5 (Yale Bright Star Catalog version 5) really are

Did anyone spy the near-full moon last night in Sagittarius?  It seeme
exceptional low on the southern meridian about 11pm BST - much lowe
that the winter solstice sun.  How many degrees can the moon deviat
from the sun's path eg ecliptic and was last night exceptional?
