| Kids, the moon and some torches | 20 Jun 2005 18:41 GMT | 9 |
I was asked to help out with the BT record sleepover attempt at the local primary school on Saturday night so I decided to take a telescope along and show the kids the delights of the moon. Very satisfying to see their reactions and it seems that they had a whale

| Mars as big as the full moon to the naked eye? | 20 Jun 2005 16:55 GMT | 3 |
I don't believe it and I don't think Art believed it either, but on his show tonight Art Bell said that he read an article somewhere claiming that beginning in August, Mars would become as big as the full moon to the naked eye, and this wouldn't happen again within any ...

ArXiv has posted an interesting paper about the Pioneer Anomoly. Not surprisingly the main conclusion is that we should send another mission to the outer Solar System. If nothing else this would give us a second data point.
