Still MORE APOLOGIES from Ed Conrad.15 Jun 2005 03:36 GMT1
(Oops! I forgot to mention a few apologies. I have done so now
and hope this is the end of the story because, quite frankly,
I am running out of Bandwidth.)
Cheap ebay 6", 8" reflectors better than Meade DS114?14 Jun 2005 19:23 GMT13
I have a Meade DS114 ( F910mm, f/8, Quasar) with Autostar handset and
motor drives, and yes I have read 'a number' of comments about it and
realise it's at the cheap end of 114's!
I want to upgrade to 6" or 8" but I do not have much cash and I have

So, my little lovely . . . How about you using that wonderful brain
Harmonics Theory explains cycles and regularity in nature14 Jun 2005 15:51 GMT5
The Harmonics Theory is the consequence of a non-linear
wave equation (such as GR) in 3D space. Its single axiom:
The universe consists of a standing wave which
develops harmonics and each of these does the same.

Question about meteorites14 Jun 2005 09:29 GMT1
Everything I've ever read about Earth-endangering meteorites has them
approaching us as "reasonable" speed - a few tens of km/s tops, giving
us plenty of time to dispatch Bruce Willis to save the day.

Webcam Adapter and SCSAstro14 Jun 2005 08:42 GMT7
I just ordered the webcam adapter for use with the ToUcam pro II from
SCSAstro. They are selling it at £15.99. Other supplier adverts I have seen
for the adapter are priced at £24.99.  Just wondering what's the difference
(if any) in quality of the SCSAstro supply?
Research For Sci-Fi Series14 Jun 2005 02:38 GMT3
I plan to rewrite the Survival On Mars series, a science fiction series
I wrote during my 20s.  Before I do, I would like to change some of the
obvious errors.  In the original version, travellers from the 7th
manned flight to Mars encounter an advanced civilization.  The year was

Autostar and Pocket PC (PDA)13 Jun 2005 22:13 GMT2
I was wondering if anyone knows of a connector that can be used to
connect a pocket PC (iPAQ) to the Autostar controller?  I have an older
DS-60EC scope and I also have the Autostar 495 controller for it.  I've
never really even used either one before but I saw where it can be ...

Idea for observatory.13 Jun 2005 20:53 GMT16
I'm toying with the idea of pulling down some bushes, in the corner of my
front garden, and placing my observatory there.   I don't think my next door
neighbours will mind, so that's not an issue.   However, the piece of my
garden that I've got in mind is right next to the road.  ...
