| On speed limits and causal disconnection, with special reference to Aleksandar Vukelja | 29 Apr 2005 12:45 GMT | 3 |
It apparently came as a shock to Einstein in about 1910 to learn that SR and the speed limit do not apply to causally-disconnected events. 1) The end of a searchlight beam can apparently move laterally at any speed whatever (though particular photons move radially along it at c).

| A Newl Model of Our Universe | 29 Apr 2005 00:30 GMT | 12 |
A new model of the universe called Model Mechanics was formulated. Model Mechanics provides natural solutions to the following problematic cosmological observations: the observed accelerated expansion of the far reached regions of the universe disagrees with the prediction of GRT; ...

| Quark-Gluon Plasma Found to be Liquid | 28 Apr 2005 23:21 GMT | 1 |
The quark-gluon plasma such as existed at the beginning of the universe has been found to be an almost ideal liquid, as opposed to the gas that many thought it would be, according to researchers Brookhaven National Laboratory.

| What if there is an Aether | 28 Apr 2005 22:48 GMT | 30 |
I was wondering what would be the effect on present day theories of space and time, the big bang and other cosmic ideas if the experiment proposed by Maurizio Consoli in the New Scientist

| Constellation Draco | 28 Apr 2005 22:44 GMT | 22 |
I just read that our solar system apparentely is moving within a hypothetical sphere that has a point in the constellation Draco as one of its "poles". This is just one way to describe what I read. Is there any truth to this?

| Perihelion of Mercury with classical mechanics ? | 28 Apr 2005 18:57 GMT | 43 |
1. Does anyone know if the classical calculation of the perihelion of Mercury accounts for the attraction of the sun by Mercury? I stumbled on an interesting article that discusses flaws in Newton's theory, and which suggests that the sun's motion is neglected even for

Good evening, (well, middle of the night actually) I'd be very grateful if someone could tell me whether Widmanstaetten structure has ever been seen in any object of earthly origin, or is it considered a characteristic exclusive to iron meteorites.

Saved by their advanced technology that could build a space craft to house those who's planet is no more. It is the space ship that is more important than Darla, and all those inside it. This thinking is relative to our Earth(space ship) that we humankind ride on. The ship is greater
